Witnessing Tools

There are a lot of items available to help you with witnessing.  People like to get stuff free.  Some people aren't going to be open to hearing the Gospel, but they will gladly take the free coin or interesting tract.  The ones who will listen can certainly benefit from having a reminder of your conversation or something to study more.  Here are some websites where you can find some
tools for witnessing.  Some are free and some cost money.  If it is a good product and easy to get into the hands of the lost, then I look at it as part of my tithe to further the Kingdom of God.

The Pocket Testament League offers a very convenient sized Gospel of John.  Check out this one with the motorcycle cover.  These have the Plan of Salvation in them, so if you aren't a position to actively share the Gospel, the reader can still be led by the Spirit into a saving relationship
and make a decision for Christ.  These can be ordered for free, but they do ask for a donation which is about $1 each.  That covers the printing and shipping. Not bad.

Witnessing Coins are always good.  Handing out a coin is even easier than a Testament or a tract.  Coins are appealling to all types of people.  Check out a variety here.  There are also some very nice but expensive ones available.  Do a search for "witnessing coins".

Tracts can be found all over the internet.  Do a search for "gospel tracts" and look for one you would feel comfortable handing out.  Some are printable, some you order.  Some are humorous, some are cool looking, some just get straight to the point.  Chick Publications has a large variety of tracts available and has been around for a long time.  It is also a good website to learn a few things.  Way of the Master has tracts available too.

CDs are the newest tools that I have seen.  The Way of the Master offers free downloads
of audio files like "The Narnia Story" which is a 16 minute audio tract of
"The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe."  It's very well told and then  the speaker
(Ray Comfort) explains how it is related to the Gospel.  Then he uses the Ten Commandments as an evangelism tool for us.  You can get label-making software at most office supply stores.  Make your own label - could have your website, your church, your contact info, etc., along with a brief info about what it is, like "The Narnia Story".
If you are interested in this type tool, listen to the download first to be sure what it is.  You could burn a couple of tracts on one CD.  These would be great to give out if you have a table set up at a swap meet or bike show.  Put up a little free sign and watch them disappear :)  The Way of the Master is another great website to learn some stuff.

Always keep in mind who you are trying to reach.  You are a motorcycle ministry, so bikers are your priority.  But think about who these bikers are: men, women, younger, older.  Don't forget, some events might have children present.  You might want to have
something available to give out to the kiddos (a little child shall lead them :) )

If you are a man, you should not witness to a female biker alone.  A woman should not witness to a male biker.  You don't want to give anyone the wrong impression (Look at him over there! He has been talking to her for 20 minutes, his wife's at home with a sick baby! And her, she's a floozy! - Yeah, people shouldn't judge, but they do.  Don't risk your reputation or the one you are witnessing to.)  Witness to members of the opposite sex only if you have a partner with you.

I will keep scouring the web for helpful tools.  When you check back, look for articles posted in the Tracts andTools category.
